Chanterelles are a real delicacy. They are served in fancy restaurants, and the price and demand are constantly growing. I love to cook with them, but it is not always possible to find quality mushrooms. It is necessary to buy only in verified places.


What do chanterelles go best with? The main thing here is not to complicate things. We need to emphasize the taste and aroma of the mushrooms themselves. Butter, thyme, garlic, cream and French crusty baguette to serve.

French baguette Method of cooking

Prepare chanterelles. Clean off dirt with a brush.

Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil, add chanterelles (take the amount of mushrooms depending on the number of bruschetta you plan to make).

Fry over medium heat so that all the liquid evaporates, add butter, thyme, salt, and pepper. Pour in the heavy whipping cream. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh herbs. 

Transfer the chanterelles to a plate, and dry the French baguette on this pan.

Put mushrooms on pieces of baguette, decorate with sprigs of thyme.
