Sweet cottage cheese dumplings

In Ukraine dumplings are considered a national breakfast. The traditional dumpling dough is based on water.

Method of cooking
Sift flour into a large bowl, add salt.
Bring the water with butter to a boil.
Pour the hot mixture into the flour and quickly stir with a wooden spoon, then knead with your hands until the dough gets elastic.
Cover with food film and set aside for 30 minutes.
Make the filling, grind everything to a homogenous consistency.
Roll out the dough in parts. It has to be thin enough. Cut circles 6 cm in diameter.
Spread the filling on each dough circle and firmly pinch the edges.
Cook in boiling water for 2-3 minutes after they rise to the surface.
Season boiled dumplings with honey or melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
