One of the best and most convenient breakfast variants is cottage cheese dumplings. You can freeze them and boil whenever you want.
In Ukraine dumplings are considered a national breakfast. The traditional dumpling dough is based on water.
Ingredients
Dough for dumplings
- 500 gr all-purpose flour
- 70 gr butter
- 270 gr water
- Salt
Filling
- 400 gr cottage cheese
- 2 egg yolks
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method of cooking
Make the filling, grind everything to a homogenous consistency.
Roll out the dough in parts. It has to be thin enough. Cut circles 6 cm in diameter.
Spread the filling on each dough circle and firmly pinch the edges.
Cook in boiling water for 2-3 minutes after they rise to the surface.
Season boiled dumplings with honey or melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
