Oatmeal with caramelized bananas
I believe that every one wants a good old oatmeal for breakfast from time to time. An oatmeal that is made on milk, adding a piece of butter on top, and sprinkled with sugar.
Once, I tried an oatmeal in an Odessa hotel and it changed my attitude to this breakfast, no jokes.
It was creamy, sweet, and sprinkled with sugar powder that, under the heat, turned into a thin caramel crust.
I did my best to repeat the recipe, and here is what I got.
For the caramelized bananas
In my blog you will find master classes that will be interesting for both beginners and professionals.
I am a practicing confectioner and I will teach you how to make delicious and exquisite confections at home.
Method of cooking
Cook the oatmeal. Pour oatmeal, and sugar into boiling milk, stir well constantly. Cover with a lid and set aside while the bananas are cooking.
Put butter, peeled and halved bananas on a heated pan, sprinkle sugar on top. Caramelize on both sides until they get a beautiful caramel color.
Add butter to the pot with the oatmeal and stir well.
Divide the oatmeal into bowls, put the bananas on top, season with caramel that has formed on the bottom of the pan, shake with nuts.
