You can transform a simple apple galette into a delicious and exquisite dessert. Crispy shortbread pastry combined with hot apples, aromatic spices, and cold vanilla ice cream.

Method of cooking

Mix all the dry ingredients.

Grate cold butter on top and quickly rub with your hands into crumbs with flour. Or mix in a food processor with knives.

Add an egg and knead the dough. On necessity, if the dough is stiff, add 1-2 tbsp of cold water.

Wrap in food film and leave in the fridge for 1 hour.

Peel the apples and cut them into thin strips. Sprinkle with lemon juice, mix with sugar and cinnamon.

Roll out the cooled dough to 3-4 mm. Transfer to a baking tray lined with baking parchment.

Put apple slices in a circle. Wrap the edges of the galette.

Grease with a mixture of an egg yolk + 10 gr of milk.

Put pieces of butter on top of the apples.

Bake in an oven at 180°C for 30-40 min.

Serve with scoops of vanilla ice cream on top.
