In classical cinnabon recipe you can always find cinnamos, sugar, and butter. And the filling is made on basis of cream cheese. 

I changed a recipe to get orange taste – added orange zest to the filling and substituted cream cheese to orange curd. 

 

Promise that you’ll bake cinnabons following this recipe. You’ll get an extremely soft, fragrant, moderately sweet buns with a variety of flavor range. Orange, nutmeg, chocolate, butter – all these ingredients are masterfully combined in Cinnabon buns.

Method of cooking

Dissolve the yeast in warm milk.

Whip eggs with sugar, add soft butter and whip a little more.

Pour in the milk with yeast and mix well with a whisk.

Gradually add flour. Kmead an elastic dough till it stops sticking to your hands and to the bowl surface.

Cover the douhg with a towel and let it rise for 1,5 hours in a warm place.

During this time, mix the filling and prepare the orange curd.

Method of cooking

Put all the ingredients in a saucepan with a thick bottom. Cook, stirring constantly with a whisk for 2-3 minutes after the mass starts  boiling. Strain the mass, pour it  into a container and cover in contact with food film.

Roll out the dough into a 70×30 cm rectangle. Grease it with melted butter, then sprinkle with filling.

Wrap the dough in a tight roll. Cut it in 10-12 pieces and place the buns on a baking sheet, at a distance of about 3-4 cm from each other. Cover with a towel and let it rise for 30 minutes.

Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180°C.

Pour orange curd and chocolate sauce on top of hot buns.

Melt the chocolate and butter together, mix well, then pour the sauce on the buns.
